Join me this Sunday at 10:00am, when I interview and play the music of Paul Carr. He upholds the Texas tradition of tenor saxophonist. Although born and raised in Houston, Texas, he live in Metropolitan Washington, D.C. As many musicians with his talent, he is known nationally and internationally. He has performed in concert at in San Remo, Italy; Moscow, Russia; LaPaz, Boliva; Aman, Jordan; and has toured Central and South America. Paul has performed with Kent Jordan, Kirk Whalum, Terrell Stafford, Steve Wilson, Wynton Marsalis, Brandford Marsalis, the late Arnett Cobb and Don Wilkerson. In addition, he has performed for two U.S. Presidents and the late King Hussein of Jordan. He has pursued a mission to advance and preserve jazz music through education by creating non-profit organization, The Jazz Academy of Music, Inc., where he shares his craft selflessly with his students and has enjoyed amazing results.
