Mike Berkley Interviews Karin Thayer Fertility Planit

This week Mike Berkley, Licensed Acupuncturist, and Nationally Board Certified Herbalist and the director of The Berkley Center for Reproductive Wellness, will interview Karin Thayer, founder of Fertility Planit. Karin is originally from San Francisco, and has lived across the USA and Europe. She earned her BA from Smith College and her MFA from the USC School of Cinematic Arts. Shes an experienced media producer and video journalist, working worldwide for broadcasters including the BBC, Discovery, PBS and Oxygen Television. Karin's own fertility journey included: medical consultations across the UK, USA, Germany and Denmark; invasive scans and discouraging prognoses; two failed natural pregnancies; IVF "holidays" in Denmark; two failed IVF treatments and three failed IUI cycles; acupuncture, Chinese herbs, hypnotherapy sessions and a complete nutritional and lifestyle overhaul. All the while, Karin searched for a website that could provide an international social network, searches by location for resources and friends, authentic user reviews and shopping, all within one User-friendly website. Fertility Planit is the website that Karin couldnt find. Her motivation for creating it is to provide an all-in-one resource for people worldwide who wish to make a family on their own terms. Based in the UK, Karin recently conceived naturally with a known donor and gave birth on April 11th, 2013.
